About

I am an associate professor (senior lecturer) in global environmental politics at the University of Melbourne. My work examines the political economy of environmental problems and their solutions, with a focus on biodiversity protection. I am the author of Conserving the Oceans: The Politics of Large Marine Protected Areas (Oxford University Press, 2021) and the co-editor of A Research Agenda for Global Environmental Politics (Edward Elgar Press, 2018) and A Research Agenda for Sustainable Ocean Governance (2025). My research has been published in various journals, with recent work featured in Global Environmental Politics, npj Ocean Sustainability, and Marine Policy, among others. I hold a PhD in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.
